Orn... tisores, paper i cel·lo! (1)

De vegades, quan tinc unes hores lliures, em poso a fer il·lustracions de l'Orn. Alguna de les guardes d'"Orn: Història Universal" han sortit d'aquesta manera. En aquest cas, vaig voler fer un petit experiment amb la perspectiva. Volia fer-la "malament" expressament, per crear un efecte de distorsió. Aquest és el resultat. La veritat és que m'agraden molt els dos plans (i les dues perspectives). M'agrada com l'Orn mira la gata (i la gata se'l mira de reüll). El castell del fons... bé, què he de dir! M'agrada dibuixar castells! M'inspiro en les cases de pagès, que cada poques generacions hi construïen un annex, una nova ala, una nova pallissa... i el resultat és una amalgama caòtica però terriblement estètica. Per fer els castells, faig el mateix. Dibuixo les parts principals i vaig sumant-hi annexos i afegits. És molt divertit forçar fins al màxim les estructures que, de ser reals, segurament no aguantarien la gravetat...!

A veces, cuando tengo unas horas libres, me pongo a hacer ilustraciones de Orn. Alguna de las guardas de "Orn: Historia Universal" han salido de esta manera. En este caso, quise hacer un pequeño experimento con la perspectiva. Quería hacerla "mal" expresamente, para crear un efecto de distorsión. Éste es el resultado. La verdad es que me gustan mucho los dos planos (y las dos perspectivas). Me gusta como Orn mira la gata (y la gata se lo mira de reojo). El castillo del fondo ... ¡bien, qué tengo que decir! ¡Me gusta dibujar castillos! Me inspiro en las casas de payés, que cada pocas generaciones construían un anexo, una nueva ala, un nuevo pajar ... y el resultado es una amalgama caótica pero terriblemente estética. Para hacer los castillos, hago lo mismo. Dibujo las partes principales y voy sumando anexos y añadidos. Es muy divertido forzar hasta al máximo las estructuras que, de ser reales, ¡seguramente no aguantarían la gravedad ...!

Sometimes, when I have some free hours, I start to make illustrations of l'Orn. Some of the the guards from Orn: Universal History" have this origin. In this case, I wanted to make a small experiment with the perspective. I wanted to make it "wong" on purpose, to create an effect of distortion. This is the result. The truth is that I like both plans a lot (and both perspectives). I like how Orn stares at the cat female (and how she looks at him with the corner of the eye). The castle in the background... well, what I have to say! I like to draw castles! I get the idea from the country houses, that each few generations constructed an annex, a new wing, a new barn... and the result is a chaotic but terribly aesthetic amalgam. For drawing the castles, I do the same thing. I draw the main parts and I keep on adding up annexes and additions to it. It is very fun to force even to the utmost the structures that, if they were real, would probably not hold the gravity...!
