Port Aventura té Àngel (1)

L'any 2.001 vaig fer les il.lustracions per a la novel·la juvenil "Port Aventura té Àngel", de M. Carme Roca, d'Ed. Casals. I això que jo no he anat mai al parc d'atraccions Port Aventura (ni m'hi trobareu mai....)! Però va ser divertit, sobretot per dibuixar el drac. Amb aquests anys de marge, mirant les il·lustracions, m'adono que si bé d'una part m'hi esforçava força (i crec que algunes il·lustracions m'han quedat força dignes), de l'altra part, algunes expressions dels humans les trobo massa exagerades, les il·lustracions massa carregades... Suposo que és bo, això de trobar defectes en antigues feines. Però sempre penses que ja ho podries haver fet millor en aquell moment!

El año 2.001 hice las ilustraciones para la novela juvenil "Port Aventura té Àngel", de M. Carme Roca, de Ed. Casals. ¡Y eso que yo no he ido nunca al parque de atracciones Port Aventura (ni me encontraréis allí jamás...)! Pero fue divertido, sobre todo por dibujar el dragón. Con estos años de margen, mirando las ilustraciones, me doy cuenta de que si bien de una parte me esforzaba bastante (y creo que algunas ilustraciones me han quedado bastante dignos), de otra parte, algunas expresiones de los humanos las encuentro demasiado exageradas, las ilustraciones demasiado cargadas ... Supongo que es bueno, eso de encontrar defectos en antiguos trabajos. ¡Pero siempre se piensa que ya lo podría haber hecho mejor en aquel momento!

In 2.001 I made the illustrations for the juvenile novel "Port Aventura has Àngel", written by M. Carme Roca and edited by Ed. Casals. I have never been to the fairground Port Aventura (and I don’t think I will ever go....)! But it was amusing, especially to draw the dragon. After all these years, looking at the illustrations, I notice that on one hand I tried hard (I believe that some illustrations have come off quite worthy), but on the other hand, I find some expressions of the humans too exaggerated, some illustrations the too much loaded... I suppose that it is good finding faults in old works. But you can’t avoid thinking that you might have made them better at that moment!
