Avui fa 69 anys...

Només un president d'un govern va ser afusellat pels feixistes en el marc de la segona guerra mundial, precisament per ser un president triat democràticament.
I a hores d'ara, després de 34 anys de democràcia, el govern espanyol encara no ha anul·lat el judici sumaríssim amb què la dictadura franquista el va condemnar a mort. Legalment, encara és culpable. Capturat per la Gestapo (1940) a la França ocupada, entregat als feixistes espanyols i condemnat a mort en un simulacre de judici. Assassinat per ser el president democràtic de Catalunya.
Quan l'estat espanyol tria, tria no incomodar els antics feixistes i no remoure el passat, intentant que tot s'oblidi. Per l'estat espanyol, el molt honorable LLuís Companys, el president del meu país, segueix essent culpable. I després es pregunten com és que cada cop hi ha més independentistes?

Cuando el estado español escoje, escoje no incomodar a los antiguos fascistas y no remover el pasado, intentando que todo se olvide. Para el estado español, el muy honorable Lluís Companys, el presidente de mi país, sigue siendo culpable. ¿Y después se preguntan como es que cada vez hay más independentistas?

Only one president of a government was shot by the fascists during the second world war, precisely for being a president chosen democratically.
And by now, after 34 years of democracy, the Spanish government has not canceled yet the trial by which the pro-Franco dictatorship condemned him to death. Legally, he is still guilty. He was captured by the Gestapo (1940) in the occupied France, delivered to the Spanish fascists and convicted to death in a simulation of trial. He was murdered for being the democratic president of Catalonia.
When the Spanish state chooses, it chooses not to inconvenience to the ancient fascists and not to stir up the past, attempting to have all the issue forgotten. For the Spanish state, the very honorable LLuís Companys, the president of my country, continues being guilty. And then they wonder how it is that there is more supporters of the independence movement?
